Are you willing to drop identities, the different roles you play in life, and tap into what has neither form nor name? Roles appear from there but can’t leave a deep trace on you because they don’t define who you really are.

What is the content and structure of the programme?

Content

  • Learning the language of Mudras: hand gestures along with their meaning and different usages

  • Eye exercises

  • Voice preparation: breathing with sound, humming, support and articulation

  • Learning Mantra chants and their word to word meaning, coordinating the expressive movement of the upper body.

Mantra & Mudra is a sitting practice and involves only one āsana (meaning “seat” in sanskrit) which is the cross legged position. If you cannot sit comfortably cross legged, it is also possible to practice sitting on a chair.

Structure

The programme is divided in 7 different progressive modules. Pre recorded videos, documents and sound files will be sent every two weeks. I offer 8 individual sessions that can be scheduled weekly or adapted to the pace you need.

Intention

Along with discussing the inherent message of the chants, my intention is to:

  • Demystify the concept of transformation and becoming

  • Look where the words of the sages directly point at

  • Drop personal thinking to celebrate universal wisdom

“Pauline’s Mantra & Mudra class is a wonderful opportunity to slow down and tune in after a hectic week. Pauline is a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher who will guide you through body awareness, sounds and hand gestures. I warmly recommend this programme to anyone as a complement to not only yoga and meditation but also for singers and dancers or anyone who is interested in exploring new aspects of sound and movement.”
