What you learn from an early age at school is concentration on a subject, preparing you to focus so that you can learn things. It might not be the thing that really matters so much since you might choose to dive in a specific area later on, but the ability to focus. Apparently we need to train at it.
.
Any sport, art, any discipline you do with love, allows you to focus effortlessly. Time is lost, mundane thoughts vanish. Touching another dimension is possible, a zone of total absorption. It can be addictive because it is so enjoyable to be lost in a no mind state.
.
What about the concentration on an elevated subject, the higher self, what doesnโt belong to personality but reflects who you really are? Some might call it god, others the indescribable truth.
.
Is there a hierarchy from gross to subtle, low to higher thought? If all of that belongs to the mind except the only truth which has no fluctuation, limitation, definition, description. Then concentrating on that would mean having a chance to be totally free in this life.
.
How is it not the most essential? Are we all one day or the other destined to realize that? Is it the way of evolution or involution towards the source that makes you alive many times, falling and rising up again and again after endless failures and dissatisfactions?
